Find out more about our school by visiting or The Role ASESC is seeking a highly professional, operationally focused, and values-driven Deputy Principal – Education Support to join its leadership team.
The Deputy Principal will work with the principal and leadership team to ensure the effective daily operation of the school, with a strong focus on behaviour support, student wellbeing, and maintaining high-quality support systems.
Responsibilities include coordinating student services, managing transitions, supporting behaviour intervention planning, and embedding consistent, evidence-based practice across classrooms.
A core priority is ensuring the school's Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) is implemented with fidelity across behavioural and social-emotional domains.
The role involves leading in behaviour support and student wellbeing, contributing to ongoing school improvement in curriculum planning and delivery, and leading differentiation of the Western Australian Curriculum.
Experience with ABLEWA and SEN RTP, and embedding AAC strategies, is desirable.
The Deputy Principal will also oversee key student support processes and work with teachers, education assistants, families, and external service providers to meet individual needs.
Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, resilience, and the ability to mentor staff are essential.
ASESC is engaged in a Real Schools Restorative Practice Partnership integrated with the PBS framework and trauma-informed approaches.
The Deputy Principal will help embed restorative, relationship-focused practices that promote safety, respect, and accountability.
