Director Finance and Procurement Position

This leadership role oversees the development and implementation of financial management, procurement, and supply strategies for the Department of Health.

The Director Finance and Procurement is a senior executive position responsible for leading the development and implementation of financial management and procurement systems and strategies that enable the Department to deliver high-quality patient care.

This role offers strategic leadership and direction to ensure the development of relevant financial information and timely budgeting, planning, and financial reporting.

About the Role

The Director Finance and Procurement reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is accountable for the effective management of the Department's resources.

This critical role requires exceptional leadership qualities, collaboration skills, communication skills, and stakeholder engagement abilities.

A strong track record of success in leading significant financial management programs is essential for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial management and procurement strategies
  • Lead the development and implementation of financial reporting systems
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to ensure effective financial management
Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in accounting are required for this role. Membership of either CPA Australia or the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand is also highly regarded.
