Wine Director

We are seeking an experienced Wine Director to oversee the wine program and lead our team at Il Lido Italian Canteen.

About This Role:

This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to leverage their expertise in Italian wine and cuisine, with a focus on growing and developing a diverse and award-winning wine list. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years' experience as a sommelier in a premium dining environment.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive wine list that showcases a variety of Italian wines
  • Purchase and negotiate wine selections from top suppliers
  • Manage stock control and inventory to ensure optimal wine availability
  • Provide exceptional customer service by offering personalized wine recommendations
  • Collaborate with the hospitality team to deliver a world-class guest experience

Requirements:

  • Deep knowledge of Italian wine regions and varietals
  • Minimum of two years' experience as a sommelier in a premium dining environment
  • WSET Diploma or CMS Advanced certification preferred
  • Experience with POS system programming and inventory management
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
