Italian Wine Specialist Opportunity
">Il Lido is seeking a dedicated and passionate Italian wine specialist to join our team. This role will provide the successful candidate with an unparalleled opportunity to grow and develop our esteemed wine program.
">The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of Italian wine and cuisine, as well as a minimum of two years' experience as a sommelier in a premium dining environment. The WSET Diploma or CMS Advanced certification is highly desirable, but not essential.
">This position requires a high level of autonomy and organizational skills, as the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing the wine program, including collaborating with the leadership team and floor staff, managing stock control and inventory management effectively, and exercising autonomy in wine selections and purchasing negotiations.
">As an Italian wine specialist, you will work closely with our leadership team and supporting floor staff to maintain the highest level of personal wine, grower, and supplier knowledge. You will also be responsible for staying up-to-date on beverage products, restaurant influences, and wine regions and vintages.
">In addition to your technical expertise, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively mentor and train the wider team on wine service.
