Virtual Leader for Groundwater Modelling Team

Overview

This role spearheads our national Groundwater Modelling team and collaborates with state-based groundwater and surface water specialists to deliver solutions for clients.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the virtual Groundwater Modelling team across multiple offices, overseeing projects and resources.
  • Collaborate with state-based groundwater and surface water experts to develop client solutions.
  • Work with Discipline Managers and Hydrogeology Directors to implement business plans focused on expanding core services, investing in emerging areas, and validating future opportunities.
  • Contribute to a strong backlog and pipeline of work through technical expertise, practical solutions, and strong client relationships.
  • Engage with other SLR teams and sectors to deliver multidisciplinary projects where necessary.
Requirements
  • 7–20+ years of industry experience as a hydrogeologist, including consultancy experience.
  • An appropriate Engineering or Science tertiary qualification.
  • Strong technical background in numerical modelling, hydrogeological conceptualisation, groundwater impact assessment, and hydrogeological investigation.
  • Understanding of Australian groundwater legislation and guidelines related to resource development and infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Excellent communication and technical report writing skills.
  • Australian citizenship or rights to work in Australia.
