Virtualization Expert

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the successful implementation and maintenance of vSphere 6 and 7, Microsoft Windows Server, and associated technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • vSphere 6 and 7 installation, patching, and troubleshooting for optimal system performance
  • Microsoft Windows Server administration with emphasis on security and compliance
  • vCenter rights management for streamlined access control
  • Development and automation of scripts for enhanced efficiency
  • Setup and configuration of vRealize Automation and vRealize Orchestrator
  • vRops configuration for network optimization
  • Implementation of ITIL Service Management Model for standardized service delivery
  • Integration with ServiceNow for seamless ticket management

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in vSphere 6 and 7, Microsoft Windows Server, and related technologies
  • Minimum 2 years' demonstrated technical leadership and ability to align teams on strategic objectives
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and presentation
  • Ability to work well with customers at all levels, from leadership to non-management personnel
  • Demonstrated history of establishing standards and best practices in technology
  • High-level troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex technical issues
  • Strong understanding of security within a Windows AD environment, including SOX and PCI compliance
  • Familiarity with configuration management platforms and DNS administration
  • Strong understanding of complex network designs and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
