The position of HSE Manager - Western Australia is critical in driving health, safety, and environmental initiatives across multiple Visy sites in WA. Reporting to the National HSE Operations Manager - Southern Region, you will collaborate with site leadership teams to ensure safety standards are upheld and continuously improved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and promote a desired safety culture, values, and expected behaviors.
  • Implement and maintain ISO management systems (45001, 14001).
  • Coach and mentor line managers to meet safety goals and regulatory compliance.
  • Facilitate risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Oversee WHS training and continuous improvement in safety practices.
  • Analyse and report HSE data to develop targeted improvement strategies.
  • Manage external audits and maintain accreditations.

Requirements:

  • A degree in WHS/OHS, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an HSE leadership role within manufacturing or heavy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE management systems, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to influence and drive cultural change in safety practices.
  • Experience managing multiple sites and diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
