Job Description

The Disability Support Worker plays a vital role in helping individuals with disabilities to live independently. This position requires a caring and supportive individual who can assist clients with daily living activities, mobility challenges, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Manual Handling: Aid clients with mobility challenges through proper manual handling techniques and assisting with exercises.
  • Community Engagement: Support clients in participating in social, recreational, and community activities.
  • Domestic Duties: Assist with light housekeeping duties, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe and clean-living environment.
  • Behavioural Management: Handle clients with high behaviours, employing appropriate strategies to ensure their safety and well-being.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Australian Federal Police Clearance.
  • Current CPR / First Aid Certificate.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Reliable, registered and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance is required).
  • Smartphone with internet access.
