Electrical Design Specialist

As a leading expert in electrical design, you will be responsible for delivering detailed designs for high voltage substations.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Create comprehensive electrical designs for HV substations, including layout, equipment specification, and protection systems.
  • Analyse power system performance using ETAP, SKM, and PowerFactory tools.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian and international standards, as well as internal QA processes.
  • Collaborate on proposal preparation, project planning, and resource allocation.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide design reviews as needed.
  • Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience in HV substation design and power system modelling.
  • Strong knowledge of ETAP and/or SKM Power Tools.
  • Demonstrated expertise in HV earthing system design and modelling.
  • Familiarity with AS 2067, AS 7000, and utility-specific design standards.
  • Experience with protection relays and secondary system schematics.
  • Excellent documentation and problem-solving skills.
