Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and review protection schemes excluding PLC programming
  • Lead and deliver detailed primary and secondary electrical designs for HV substations and industrial power systems
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure project success
  • Provide peer reviews and support junior engineers
  • Participate in occasional site visits every couple of months
  • Drive innovation in electrical design practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support project bidding and proposal development by providing technical input and estimates
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Australian standards and industry regulations
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders including utilities and regulatory bodies to facilitate project approvals
  • Contribute to strategic planning for the electrical engineering team's growth and capability development
Candidate Profile:
  • Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in HV electrical design 33-66kV
  • Proficient in protection secondary and primary design
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Full Australian working rights
