Job DescriptionThe Executive Manager of Business Performance plays a pivotal part in RBS Finance, working closely with the RBS Leadership team and Group Finance to provide high-quality financial support and advice. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and inspiring four diverse teams, providing commercial advice, and managing multiple deliverables simultaneously.
RBS Finance operates as a business partner integrated with product and distribution businesses, promoting objectivity and independence. Major work functions include planning, reporting, and decision support to line management, ensuring operational and financial efficiency, productivity, and customer service quality.
The RBS Performance Management team is responsible for providing financial support and advice to the RBS business, aiming to be a trusted business partner by delivering valuable insights that drive business performance.
The RBS Business Performance team provides business performance information and reporting, financial analysis, data, and commercially driven insights, supporting the RBS business and leadership to inform operational and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Oversight of weekly, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and full-yearly performance reporting process for RBS;
- Driving RBS business outcomes through strategic and commercial advice to the RBS Leadership team and RBS CFO;
- Preparation of high-quality presentations, supporting analysis, and strategic insights for senior management;
- Engaging with finance-related stakeholders to understand drivers of financial and business performance;
- Acting as key point of contact for the RBS CFO and Group Finance on financial performance of the RBS business;
- Driving implementation of RBS Finance data analytics strategy;
- Supporting risk mitigation through adoption of a risk mindset;
- Managing and being supported by a team of direct and indirect reports;
- Shaping strategic direction for your team;
- Financial Services experience preferably in Retail Banking environment (10+ years);
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills;
- High degree of commercial acumen;
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously;
- Results-driven;
- Strong leadership skills, including experience building and managing a high-performing team;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Experience managing senior stakeholders;
