Job Description

As a Strategic Business Leader, you will be responsible for developing and implementing integrated business strategies that drive operational excellence and ensure the highest standards of governance.

  • You will lead statutory compliance and performance across business planning, legal, human resources, communications, governance, and risk functions.
  • Your team will support executives across the organisation, requiring a leadership approach that empowers direct reports while maintaining accountability for outcomes.
  • You will provide expert guidance on complex legal matters and work closely with the General Counsel to ensure effective representation in legal proceedings.
  • You will drive continuous improvement in work health and safety, governance, and enterprise risk management, fostering a strong and cohesive risk culture.
  • You will oversee people and culture initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational goals in areas such as leadership, engagement, wellbeing, and talent development.
  • You will lead a high-performing communications and public affairs function, managing media and ministerial relationships to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent communication with Parliament, the public, and key stakeholders.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will hold relevant tertiary qualifications in law, business management, human resources, communications, government relations, or a closely related field.

You will possess extensive senior executive experience, with a strong track record in strategic leadership, statutory reporting, and the development of policies and programs.

You will combine exceptional issue management capabilities with sound judgment and discretion to navigate complex and politically sensitive matters.
