Healthcare Assistant

A compassionate caregiver is sought to assist elderly residents with daily personal hygiene tasks, mobility needs, and medication administration.
The ideal candidate will possess a Certificate III in Individual Support and relevant qualifications, along with excellent communication skills and empathy for caring individuals.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with mobility needs, including transfers and positioning.
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document accurately.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean environment.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and conversations.
- Monitor and report changes in health status promptly.
- Accompany residents to medical appointments and outings.
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability, or Home and Community Care).
- First Aid Certificate, including CPR.
- National Police Check clearance.
- Compassion and empathy in caring for elderly and disabled individuals.
- Ability to assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and daily living activities.
- Proficiency in using mobility aids and assisting with mobility.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in aged care settings.
- This is an entry-level position within the healthcare industry.
