Job Title: Waterproofing Consultant

Overview: ACOR Consultants, a leading employee-owned engineering consultancy, seeks an experienced Waterproofing Consultant to join its Remedial and Facades team. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise in waterproofing and building envelope systems, supporting litigation efforts and project management.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical expertise in waterproofing, building envelope systems, and design assistance services related to waterproofing.
  • Supporting litigation efforts through expert witness evidence and reporting.
  • Conducting investigations of existing failing waterproofing and roofing.
  • Providing reviews and input as to development of waterproofing details and specifications.
  • Inspecting and supervising inspection of work in progress related to the waterproofing systems.
  • Managing repair and re-construction projects for residential, commercial, and government buildings.
  • Utilizing network of strata managers, asset owners, lawyers, and insurance adjusters to develop new business opportunities.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years local post-graduate experience is mandatory.
  • Technical degree (Bachelor's or higher) in engineering, architecture, construction management, or closely related discipline.
  • Expertise in waterproofing and building envelope systems with specific knowledge of relevant standards.
  • Experience in repair and re-construction, design, and project management of residential, commercial, and government buildings.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in technology, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office suite software.
  • Detail-oriented with commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in fast-paced environment.
