Entry Level Drilling Traineeship

This traineeship presents a high-paying career path with opportunities for growth and development.

Job Overview:

The role of an offsider is physically demanding and requires working in various weather conditions. As a candidate, you should be fit, enjoy outdoor work, and have manual labor experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mobilizing drilling rigs from one location to another
  • Handling core samples - removing them from tubes, placing them in core boxes, and labelling the box
  • Managing drilling rods and core tubes
  • Mixing drill fluid additives
  • Cleaning equipment and maintaining a tidy workspace
  • Assisting with equipment maintenance and repairs

As part of this traineeship, you will gain valuable industry experience and your Certificate II in Drilling Operations. We cover the cost of this certificate and future certifications in drilling.

Requirements:
  • Flexibility in adapting to 4:2 and 2:1 roster arrangements
  • Heavy Rigid Licence (HR)
  • Ability to pass a stringent pre-employment medical check including drug and alcohol testing
  • Current Police Clearance, issued within three months
