Job Title: Care Companion

We are seeking compassionate care companions to provide supportive services for seniors, enhancing their quality of life.

  • Social support and interaction
  • Assistance with daily living tasks such as feeding, medication reminders, personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, laundry and cooking/meal preparation
  • Transportation to appointments, errands and social activities
  • Standby assistance with transfers and overnight safety checks

The ideal candidate will possess a caring attitude towards older adults, excellent communication skills and be punctual and reliable. A background in caregiving or healthcare is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities
  • Engage in conversation and activities promoting mental stimulation and social interaction
  • Assist with scheduling and transportation to appointments and social events
Daily Living Tasks
  • Provide support with bathing, dressing and personal hygiene
  • Assist with feeding and medication reminders
  • Help with light housekeeping, laundry and cooking/meal preparation
Transportation and Safety
  • Transport clients to appointments, errands and social activities
  • Offer standby assistance with transfers and overnight safety checks
Requirements
  • No healthcare certification required, however CNA, HHA or experience caring for geriatric, chronically ill or hospice individuals is preferred
  • Ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Pass a national criminal background check and provide proof of current negative tuberculosis test
  • Compassionate heart for older adults, excellent communication skills and maturity, caring and punctuality
