60.25 hours per fortnight, 7 x 700-1500pm shifts and 1x 1245-2230 shifts per fortnight, with 5 days in a row off every 2nd week
We are seeking a passionate and experienced House Companion who is medication endorsed, to join our team at the Korongee Dementia Village, for a fixed-term contract.
This fixed-term part-time role offers the opportunity to provide compassionate and person-centred care in a purpose-built, dementia-friendly environment located in Glenorchy, Tasmania.What you'll be doingProviding high-quality personal care and daily living assistance to residents, personal hygiene, mobility support, and social engagementCollaborating with the multidisciplinary care team to implement individualised care plans that promote residents' independence, wellbeing, and quality of lifeFostering a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment that celebrates residents' uniqueness and supports their cognitive, physical, and emotional needsActively participating in team meetings, training, and professional development to continuously enhance your skills and knowledgeMaintaining accurate and detailed documentation to ensure the highest standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirementsWhat we're looking forMedication Endorsed for a minimum of 2 yearsCertificate III or IV in Individual Support (Aged Care)A minimum of 2 years' experience in providing person-centred care to older adults, particularly those living with dementiaStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with residents, families, and the care teamA compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach, with a genuine commitment to promoting the wellbeing and quality of life for residentsExcellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a dynamic environmentWhat we offerAt Glenview Community Services, we are committed to supporting our employees' growth and development.
