Commercial Kitchen Assistant Job

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness within commercial kitchens.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all kitchen areas are kept clean and tidy according to current Health & Hygiene regulations.
  • Cleaning duties within the kitchen, food preparation areas and general pantry duties.
  • Operating dishwashing machine as per instruction and counting, sorting and preparing operating equipment as required.
  • Assisting in the preparation of food as directed by the Executive Chef or supervisory team when required.
  • Correct handling of chemicals and equipment as per manufacturer's instructions.
  • Contributing to cost control through energy conservation and careful use of water, cleaning materials and other appliances.
  • Ensuring garbage is collected and disposed of correctly from all kitchen areas each shift.

Excellent communication skills and a high standard of grooming and personal presentation are essential for this role. Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment is preferred but not essential.
