We are seeking a diligent and organized individual to join our culinary team in the role of Kitchen Steward. This exciting opportunity allows you to work in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the kitchen through food preparation, dishwashing, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.

As a Kitchen Steward, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen by performing tasks such as food preparation, unpacking, storing, and organizing deliveries. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and food storage areas.

Job Description

This is an entry-level position that offers excellent opportunities for growth and development. If you have previous experience in a similar role or are a Commercial Cookery student looking to gain practical experience, we encourage you to apply.

In this role, you will be required to work varying shifts including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays. A willingness to learn and adapt to new situations is essential. As part of our team, you will have access to ongoing career and professional development opportunities.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, dependability, and punctuality. You will also have good attention to detail and the ability to follow safety rules. Previous experience in a similar job is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the day-to-day operation of the kitchen through food preparation and dishwashing
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen
  • Perform tasks such as food preparation, unpacking, storing, and organizing deliveries
  • Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and food storage areas
  • Adhere to all sanitation and chemical use guidelines
Requirements:
  • A strong work ethic and dependability
  • Punctuality; being on time is very important
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow safety rules
  • Ability to work varying shifts including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
