About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Design Engineer to join our team in Brisbane. As a key member of our Structural Housing team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality and innovative structural designs and documentation for building structures with medium to large complexity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality structural designs and documentation for building structures with medium to large complexity.
  • Run projects from concept design to construction within budget and delivery time frame.
  • Assist in client management with existing clients and other relevant project stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing graduate/junior engineers within the team.
  • Cultivate a sense of client focus in the team's everyday approach to their work.
Requirements
  • A minimum qualification of Bachelor Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • Current RPEQ accreditation.
  • 2-4 years post-grad structural design experience in residential or building industry.
  • Experience in the design of residential/low rise structural buildings.
  • Experience in design using timber structures, reinforced concrete, steel structures, and designs of waffle, raft, suspended slab, retaining walls etc.
  • Proficient in the use of engineering design software tools such as ClearCalcs, Space Gass, Toolkit, Inducta (advantageous), RAPT (advantageous).
  • An ability to build rapport with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Advanced ability to interpret the requirements of Australian standards and building codes, design in accordance with AS2870, AS1684, AS1170, AS3600, AS4100, NCC etc.
