About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team at G&S Engineering Services. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing structural components for our clients in the resources processing and mining industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop structural components for materials handling and processing facility structures, including conveyors, bins, and process buildings.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that designs meet client needs and are cost-effective.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to our drafting team, supervising the preparation of preliminary and detailed designs.
  • Develop and maintain schedules for design work, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Provide high-level technical support for all structural engineering work, as required.
  • Maintain and foster relationships with our clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree in a field such as civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated design experience in resources processing or mining, with proficiency in structural analysis software such as Spacegass.
  • Experience using advanced analysis tools such as Strand7 would be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong team focus and commitment to safety.
