We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team at Connect Personnel. As a leading professional Engineering Services and Project Management organisation, we have a strong and longstanding client base.
The ideal candidate will have 3-8 years of experience in Structural Design of building structures, with a strong understanding of Structural analysis programs like Microstran or Spacegass. They will also possess good writing skills, including writing and reviewing structural reports, and an understanding of design in structural steel and reinforced concrete.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Conceptual design as a pre-cursor to detailed design
- Track and report on existing projects
- Price engineering work and prepare fee proposals
- Seismic design
- Use of E-tabs
- Use of NZ standards
- Design of composite steel, post-tensioned concrete and timber
