Key Responsibilities


Employee Relations:
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by maintaining effective relationships with all resort staff.
• Serve as a liaison between management and staff, handling questions, interpreting and administering employment contracts and resolving work-related problems.

Training and Development:
• Assist in administering performance management systems and training programs.
• Plan, develop, and organize training sessions and produce relevant training materials for in-house courses.
• Facilitate corporate training programs and book specialist trainers as required.
• Maintain the Training Needs Analysis and register of completed training.

Human Resources:
• Assist with all HR functions as directed by the Director of Human Resources.
• Handle all administrative requirements of the FNU Training Grants Scheme, including preparation and submission of the Annual Training Plan and Training Execution.
• Liaise with departmental trainers regarding the submission of training documentation in a timely manner.

Employee Support:
• Regularly check resort areas for cleanliness and presentation.
• Organise and lead employee relations initiatives and actively participate in resort sustainability initiatives.
• Proactively handle staff needs and escalate serious matters to the HR Director.

Qualifications:
• Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management or Human Resources/Industrial Relations.
• Registered Training Officer under the FNU Training Grants Scheme.
• Previous experience at a minimum HR or Training Officer level, preferably also experienced in counselling and disciplinary procedures.
• Strong administrative skills and intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• Effective English communication skills, both oral and written.
• International resort or hotel experience will be an advantage, along with island resort operations.

Requirements:
• Must be a citizen of Fiji or have current immigration status to work in Fiji.
