Job Overview

The Controls and Automation Engineer is a key member of our team responsible for designing, programming, and implementing automation systems to support manufacturing operations. This role ensures that production processes run efficiently, safely, and at the highest quality, while driving continuous improvement through system upgrades and optimization.

This engineer will lead or support automation projects from concept through installation, commissioning, and validation. The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, program, and support automation and control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, robotics, motion control, and SCADA systems.
  • Develop and review electrical control schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and Bills of Material in compliance with standards.
  • Lead or support automation projects from concept through installation, commissioning, and validation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (production, maintenance, quality, IT, and customer teams) to ensure seamless system integration and high levels of collaboration.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation, manufacturing controls, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, or similar).
  • Experience with HMI/SCADA systems and industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus, IO-Link, etc.).
