Automation Engineer Role

The Automation Engineer is accountable for planning, developing, and implementing efficient automation systems that support manufacturing operations. This position ensures production processes operate effectively, safely, and at the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and support automation systems, including control logic programming, system integration, and robotics.
  • Design and review electrical control schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and Bills of Material in compliance with industry standards.
  • Lead or support automation projects from concept through installation, commissioning, and validation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless system integration and high levels of collaboration.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime and ensure manufacturing efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation, manufacturing controls, or related field.
Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming.
  • Experience with HMI/SCADA systems and industrial networks.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software.
  • Hands-on experience with robotics, vision systems, sensors, drives, motion control, and pneumatic systems.

The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to apply lean/continuous improvement principles.
