Job Title: Automation System Specialist

As an Automation System Specialist, you will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust automation systems that support manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of PLC programming, HMI/SCADA systems, and industrial networks. Proficiency in electrical design software, such as AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electrical, is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, robotics, motion control, and SCADA systems.
  • Develop and review electrical control schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and Bills of Material in compliance with industry standards.
  • Lead or support automation projects from concept through installation, commissioning, and validation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, maintenance, quality, IT, and customer teams to ensure seamless system integration and high levels of collaboration.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime and ensure manufacturing efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation enhancements, process optimization, lean practices, and data integration.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation, manufacturing controls, or related field.
Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, or similar).
  • Experience with HMI/SCADA systems and industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus, IO-Link, etc.).
  • Proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience with robotics, vision systems, sensors, drives, motion control, and pneumatic systems.
  • Familiarity with SQL-based plant floor data gathering systems, MES, and Industry 4.0/Smart Manufacturing principles.
