**About the Role:**

We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our cafe team in our residential aged care home. As a Barista at The Shoreline, you will be responsible for delivering a high standard of coffee and food service to our residents and their families.

Main Responsibilities:

Prepare the cafe for the day's trade, checking and replenishing stock as needed.

Take and prepare orders for customers, managing the preparation of orders to minimize wait times.

Present all items with a level of finesse and in line with our Chef's instructions.

Clean in between meals, wipe down tables, and clear dirty plates and trays.

Close down the cafe at the end of the day.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Demonstrated empathy with and commitment to the care of older people.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience in delivering exceptional customer-centered service outcomes.
  • Ability to demonstrate kindness and empathy across all channels and model behaviors that align with The Shoreline's vision and CREED.
  • Understanding of the aging process and a commitment to advocate for older people in residential care and/or home care.
  • Police check clearance and up-to-date vaccination as required by legislation or industry best practice.
