Job Summary:

Catholic Healthcare is seeking a skilled Aged Care Educator to join our team. As a key member of our Residential Aged Care team, you will be responsible for delivering education and training programs to enhance employee knowledge, skills, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and delivering the induction and onboarding program to newly hired employees
  • Delivering and/or facilitating education and training to all Residential Aged Care employees within the home to meet role expectations and ensure compliance across all Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Conducting education and training needs analysis and develop a learning plan to address identified gaps

Requirements:

  • Cert IV Workplace Training & Assessment or equivalent
  • Bachelor of Nursing, preferred
  • Experience in delivering education & training programs using adult learning principles
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Workplace Health and Safety
  • Solid understanding of Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality standards
  • Previous experience working in a Residential Aged Care setting
  • Clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process
  • IT savvy, full Microsoft Suite and able to pick up new systems with ease
  • Able to work independently and part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • NDIS check or willing to obtain
