
Palliative Care Support Specialist

Job Description:
An Occupational Therapist is required to support Oncology, Haematology and Palliative Care clients through inpatient assessment and treatment, outpatient clinic reviews, and home visits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention for palliative care patients in inpatient, outpatient, and home settings.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support function, comfort, and participation in meaningful activities.
- Assist in developing and implementing individualised care plans and rehabilitation strategies.
- Document and report findings effectively and communicate with consumers and stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
A current Registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist with the relevant Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) and NSW Class C drivers licence or equivalent is essential. Level 1: newly qualified relevant classification with less than three years clinical experience; Level 2: a minimum of three years clinical experience as a relevant classification and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
