Job Title

A dedicated Occupational Therapist is required to join our team in Palliative Care, providing high-quality support and services to clients.

This role involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess and support patients with life-limiting illnesses, focusing on maintaining function, promoting comfort and enabling participation in meaningful activities.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention for palliative care patients in inpatient, outpatient, and home settings.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support function, comfort, and participation in meaningful activities.
  • Assist in developing and implementing individualised care plans and rehabilitation strategies.
Requirements
  • Current Registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist with the relevant professional body.
  • Level 1: newly qualified relevant classification with less than three years clinical experience; Level 2: a minimum of three years clinical experience as a relevant classification and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated high level skills in verbal and non-verbal communication with consumers, teams and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
