Occupational Therapist Job Opportunity

As a leading healthcare provider, we are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our palliative care team. This is a unique opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients with life-limiting illnesses.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Assessment and Intervention: Provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention for palliative care patients in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and home environments.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support patients' function, comfort, and participation in meaningful activities.
  • Care Plan Development: Assist in developing and implementing individualized care plans and rehabilitation strategies tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Documentation and Communication: Effectively document and report findings, communicating with consumers and stakeholders as required.
Requirements:
  • Registration and Qualifications: Current registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board and relevant Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) accreditation.
  • Experience and Skills: Level 1: newly qualified Occupational Therapists with less than three years clinical experience; Level 2: a minimum of three years clinical experience and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Communication and Documentation: Demonstrated high-level skills in verbal and non-verbal communication, documentation, and formal reporting.
  • Organizational and Time Management: Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
