About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Waste Processing Specialist to join our East Arm facility in this exciting opportunity.

As an Autoclave Operator, you will play a critical role in processing clinical and bio-security waste in a safe and compliant manner. This is a permanent full-time position with overtime and penalty rates available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and manage the handling of clinical and bio-security waste from customer sites, which includes frequent manual lifting.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, including Approved Regulatory Arrangements.
  • Operate machinery such as the Autoclave, Shredder, and boiler in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Evaluate and implement effective waste disposal practices that meet safety procedures and contract requirements.
  • Respond to incidents related to service levels, ensuring timely notification of the Depot Manager.
  • Ensure the processing area and factory premises remain organized and tidy at all times.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Forklift license
  • Prior experience in the waste industry is preferred but not essential
  • A valid car license
