Care Support Specialist

**Job Opportunity:** Care Support Specialist
This role is centered around delivering high-quality case management services to vulnerable children and young people who are unable to live with their own families. They are placed in the care of volunteer caregivers, requiring our support and guidance.
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to work collaboratively with children, young people, their families, carers, and other stakeholders to ensure desired outcomes are achieved in accordance with each child or young person's needs and case plan.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing training and supervision to caregivers to enhance their skills and confidence
- Support the development of positive relationships and environments within caregiving households, promoting stability and well-being
- Collaborate effectively with children, young people, their families, carers, and other stakeholders to address their unique needs and goals
**Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the community services sector, although not essential, is preferred
- A thorough understanding of relevant regulations and legislation, including the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005
- Knowledge of the out-of-home care system and available resources across the region is essential
