As a corporate credit analyst, you will be responsible for assessing the risk levels of customer/vendor credit applications and contributing to their approval. This role is integral to supporting the business in achieving its expected risk loss targets.

Responsibilities
  • You will undertake financial analysis and modelling for new and existing clients across various sectors, including agriculture, construction, transport, industrial, healthcare, energy transition, office equipment, and tech finance.
  • Your primary objective will be to liaise with all back-office functionalities, sales/account management, credit/risk management, legal, and asset management teams, as well as relevant third parties.
  • Collecting customer/vendor information using applicable systems and procedures is essential to ensuring completeness and topicality of information.
  • Financial, asset, market, security, legal, and contractual risks will be thoroughly assessed, reviewed, and re-rated for customers/end users, local vendors, or dealers.
  • You will be responsible for writing credit application reports, deciding on end-user credit applications and local vendor/dealer agreements within given authority levels, making sound recommendations, and presenting applications to higher credit decision-making authorities.
  • Advising, preparing, and participating in local credit committees on decision-making regarding end-user credit applications and local vendor/dealer agreements within given authorization levels is a critical aspect of this role.
  • You will monitor, coordinate, and advise on credit/risk profiles, corporate/external policies, regulations, and sales mandates in collaboration with involved departments.
  • This position also involves contributing to the development of local credit and risk management policies, regulations, and guidelines.
  • You will provide information, support, training, and align front- and back-office parties on credit and risk management policies, processes, and issues.
Requirements
  • A degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or a related field is required.
  • Must have 3 years of relevant experience in asset/equipment finance with a DLA held of at least AUD500K.
  • Advanced financial analysis skills are necessary.
  • Understanding of vendor-based and dealer-based asset finance partnerships, including both strategic commercial objectives and risk management principles, is essential.
  • Understanding of documentation, security, and legal processes, including PPSR understanding and application, is also crucial.

  • The key to success in this role is your ability to analyse risks and rewards in vendor, dealer, and customer relationships and effectively communicate those risks and rewards in a well-written, professional credit application.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
  • You must be able to organise and prioritise work to assist the credit team in meeting its objectives.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Flexibility to remain focused despite changing priorities.
  • Able to handle high work volumes and respond to requests on a timely basis.
  • A consultative approach to working with all stakeholders – a team player.
  • Able to negotiate and solve problems to respond to internal and external customer requests promptly and correctly.
  • Strong ability to share business and risk knowledge with other DLL members, in order to build a culture of risk management balanced with commercial objectives.
