Application Engineer

Job Description:

This role involves managing and developing relationships with customers and channel partners, providing them with trusted advice in partnership with leadership teams. You will understand customer requirements, communicate and deliver the optimal solution that best meets their needs. Additionally, you will maintain strong knowledge of SEL products and teach customers SEL technology and innovation.

You will participate in strategic account and regional sales planning processes, develop, maintain and deliver quarterly orders forecasts and sales goals. You will also collect, analyze and report industry, competitor and customer trends to the greater organization.

Furthermore, you will work collaboratively to understand and drive the resolution of customer feedbacks and product issues. You will liaise between customers, contracts & risk, and accounts receivable to facilitate commercial relationships, leading price and commercial negotiations with customers.

You will utilize business tools to maintain customer relationship information, opportunity tracking and sales activities. Finally, you will lead in improving marketing, sales, and engineering quality processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in technical sales. 7 or more years of experience in an electrical engineering or technical sales environment.

Demonstrated success growing sales in a territory, strong understanding of commercial terms and conditions, ability to travel, effective and engaging communication skills, ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities, ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

Fluent in local language and business practices, background check results satisfactory to the employer, negative drug test result(s).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience using SEL products, utility and industrial industry experience.
