Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Tax Lawyer to join our growing Tax practice in Australia. As a Tax Lawyer, you will assist small and medium-sized businesses with a broad range of tax law needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with initial business structuring and planning;
  • Provide advice on restructuring and CGT rollover relief;
  • Help clients with business exit planning, including small business CGT concessions;
  • Design and advise on ESS/ESOP plans;
  • Assist with flip-ups into the US or other foreign jurisdictions;
  • Review and assist with business structures and terms for marketplaces/platforms/GIG economy;
  • Advise on PAYG, superannuation, and payroll tax obligations on contractor arrangements;
  • Provide advice on the 'early stage innovative company' concession;
  • Assist with capital raises and inbound investment;
  • Draft and amend trust deeds, among other structuring and tax-related legal services.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience as a tax lawyer in a private practice environment;
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively;
  • Commercial acumen and ability to demonstrate business growth;
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work with smart, fun, and passionate people;
  • Adaptable and able to grasp new concepts quickly;
  • Service-oriented and able to provide an amazing client experience.
