Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Professional to join our Tax practice in Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice to a diverse range of clients, including small and medium-sized businesses.

Your primary focus will be on assisting clients with a broad range of tax law needs, including initial business structuring and planning, restructuring/CGT rollover relief, business exit planning, and ESS/ESOP design and eligibility advice.

You will work closely with our clients to understand their unique needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their goals. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert tax advice to clients on a range of tax law needs
  • Assist clients with initial business structuring and planning
  • Advise on restructuring/CGT rollover relief
  • Provide guidance on business exit planning
  • Design and advise on ESS/ESOP schemes
  • Review and assist with business structures and terms for marketplaces/platforms/GIG economy
  • Assist with PAYG, superannuation, and payroll tax obligations on contractor arrangements
  • Advise on capital raises and inbound investment
  • Draft and amend trust deeds

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience as a tax lawyer in a private practice environment
  • Strong knowledge of tax law and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
