This role shapes our media presence, delivering proactive and reactive communications across key initiatives and managing relationships with media and external stakeholders to enhance our reputation and brand impact.

We are seeking a Senior Manager who can execute tactically and strategically develop, manage, and implement media relations and external programs in line with our business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage media relations and external programs for our company.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets.
  • Work with various departments to identify and execute activities for Group-wide announcements and other initiatives to drive external coverage.
  • Develop story angles, media events/activations, and opportunities to grow our brand and support key moments.
  • Collaborate with marketing to advise and support programs using social media and talent to drive brand awareness.
  • Oversee and approve external communications materials including media releases, fact sheets, briefing documents, messaging matrices, press kits, and Q&As.
About You
  • 8+ years' experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
  • A proven track record of delivering successful media and external campaigns and crisis management is essential.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Excellent stakeholder relations skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are necessary.
  • A strong network of media contacts is beneficial.
  • A strategic thinker who can execute tactically is ideal.
  • Experience in crisis communications and internal communications and stakeholder relations is an advantage.
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as within the wider Corporate Affairs and PR team is required.
