Job Title: External Communications Specialist

The role of the External Communications Specialist is to develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy that showcases the work of our organisation and highlights the issues impacting our client base.

This includes working collaboratively with various stakeholders to deliver clear, concise, and accessible communication services and products.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, and possess the ability to monitor the effectiveness of communication strategies initiatives using evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop an annual communication workplan/calendar aligned with our strategic objectives and priorities
  • Work collaboratively across the organisation to ensure the delivery of effective communication services and products
  • Generate proactive media opportunities to promote our work
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, media organisations, community organisations, and government
  • Monitor the effectiveness of communication strategies initiatives using evidence-based practice to inform continuous improvement and alignment with our strategic goals
Organisational Relationships and Resource Management

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer, Director Legal Services, Director Business & Operations

Requires travel to community venues and service locations. Access to a reliable and comprehensively insured motor vehicle is required.
