
Insurance Portfolio Manager

The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of NSW Workers Compensation insurance claims, aiming to achieve early and sustainable return to work with reasonable claim costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively oversee and manage a portfolio of NSW Workers Compensation insurance claims.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders including workers, employers, doctors, and providers to identify claim requirements and provide advice.
- Undertake ongoing insurance claim liability and entitlement reviews for weekly payments and medical expenses.
- Provide support to workers and employers throughout the claim process, ensuring timely access to necessary services for return to work and injury recovery.
- Monitor, settle, and close out claims within the portfolio in accordance with established guidelines.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and collaborate with key stakeholders.
- Perform administrative tasks related to portfolio management, including payment processing, documentation review, and correspondence.
Requirements
- Experience managing claims in the Australian workers' compensation insurance industry or equivalent frameworks overseas.
- Knowledge of the NSW workers' compensation scheme, legislation, and policies, or ability to acquire this knowledge quickly.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and resilience in handling complex conversations.
- A passion for teamwork and ability to work independently while prioritising injured workers' recovery and return to work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
What We Offer
This full-time role offers a competitive salary range of $70k-95k + Super, based on experience. You will work in the Tweed Heads or Newcastle CBD, Monday to Friday, standard business hours.
