Job Overview

This role involves project cost control management and reporting to support projects across various portfolios. The team of finance professionals plays a key role in guiding critical business decisions and developing cutting-edge solutions for a leading aerospace company. Our work contributes to aviation and aerospace products that make a difference in people's lives worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the finance team by collaborating with project and scheduling teams.
  • Analysis of Cost and Schedule performance, communicate financial insights and project status to stakeholders.
  • Development and maintenance of project budgets and forecasts in conjunction with cost account managers.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, comprehensive reports and dashboards to monitor project performance.
  • Ensure financial compliance and accuracy in collaboration with project teams.
  • Support month end process with required journals and reconciliations, including all required reporting.
  • Support estimating and pricing activities.
  • Recognize areas for continuous improvement and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Train and mentor other staff within the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in finance, business or commerce; or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant experience in a project accounting, management accounting or cost control role.
  • Advanced Excel skills - expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, PowerPivot, and dashboard management.
  • Ability to adapt to different situations, be proactive and organize priorities autonomously to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage financial aspects of diverse projects.
  • Experience in estimating and pricing of varying complexity.
  • Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) and use of Earned Value Management Systems for project financial management.
