Key Environmental Consultant Role

A leading environmental consultancy seeks a highly skilled Principal Contaminated Land Consultant to join their Sydney team.

Main Responsibilities and Expectations
  • Develop and lead contaminated land remediation projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Oversee technical investigations, action plans, validation reports, and ongoing management strategies for contaminated sites.
  • Apply expertise in soil, groundwater, vapour, landfill gas, and hazardous materials assessments to inform project decisions.
  • Effectively manage project budgets, deadlines, and client communications, demonstrating confidence and professionalism.
  • Mentor and develop junior consultants, fostering both technical competence and career growth.
Necessary Skills and Qualifications
  • No less than 8 years' experience in contaminated land consulting, preferably within the Australian market.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects to a high technical standard, with a focus on quality and excellence.
  • Strong project management, leadership, and mentoring skills, with a track record of success.
  • Exceptional report writing and client communication abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in environmental science, engineering, geology, or similar fields.
  • CEnvP accreditation (or progress towards) is highly regarded.
