About the Role


The Support Officer will play a vital role in delivering high-quality customer service at The Leo Kelly Blacktown Arts Centre. This position involves providing a warm and friendly welcome to visitors, artists, and contractors, as well as promoting programs and events to diverse audiences.


Key Responsibilities



  • Front of house duties, including ticketing, reception, and administrative assistance
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment, including setting up and packing down for events
  • Representing the venue in fire warden or first aid officer duties (training provided)
  • Working collaboratively with the team to achieve customer service excellence

Essential Skills and Qualifications



  • Minimum Certificate III in a related field
  • Suitable experience in an arts environment and/or demonstrable interest in the arts industry
  • High-level oral and written communication skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work productively and collaboratively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment
  • Valid Working with Children Check

Benefits and Remuneration


This casual position offers an hourly rate of $37.60, plus 25% casual loading and penalty rates for weekend shifts. Employee benefits include leave entitlements, 11.5% employer contribution to superannuation, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
