Engineering Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead our high-performing engineering team at an underground longwall operation. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute directly to the safety, performance, and sustainability of the site.

The successful candidate will be accountable for setting engineering standards, ensuring statutory compliance, and delivering safe, cost-effective, and innovative engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading and developing a high-performing engineering team.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory, safety, and environmental obligations.
  • Overseeing the implementation and performance of the site's maintenance and reliability strategy.
  • Managing budgets and contributing to annual mine planning processes.
  • Driving continuous improvement, digitalisation, and innovation in engineering practices.
  • Embedding a positive safety culture across engineering operations.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • NSW Practising Certificate as Manager of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Underground Coal).
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Project Management.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior engineering or leadership position within underground coal mining.
  • A strong understanding of HSEC and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Proven leadership capabilities and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Sound commercial acumen and experience managing budgets and engineering systems.
