About This Role

Our company seeks a seasoned professional to lead the origination and execution of power purchase agreements, retail, and structured energy contracts with large corporates, industrial clients, and energy retailers.

This role will focus on originating and executing complex energy transactions, leading the full deal lifecycle from strategy through to execution.

Key Focus Areas
  • We are looking for a highly skilled professional to originate and execute power purchase agreements, retail, and structured energy contracts.
  • The ideal candidate will engage directly with large corporates, industrial clients, and energy retailers to drive business growth.
  • This position requires a strong leader who can oversee the full deal lifecycle – from market strategy to contract negotiation and execution.
Key Responsibilities
  • Originate and close tailored energy deals, including firmed renewables, hybrid products, and structured contracts.
  • The successful candidate will build and manage senior-level relationships across corporates, retailers, and intermediaries to drive a robust pipeline.
  • Develop a national buyer network to support project commercialisation and market growth.
  • This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams (Development, Legal, Investment, Markets) to align on risk and deal terms.
  • Prepare commercial materials, term sheets, and contracts.
  • Monitor market and regulatory trends to refine strategy and offerings.
  • Support investment approvals with commercial cases and executive briefings.
  • Represent the business at industry forums and client engagements.
Experience & Qualifications
  • 8+ years in energy origination, corporate PPAs, or structured energy sales.
  • A proven track record of closing complex energy transactions is essential.
  • A strong network and senior relationships in the Australian energy market are highly valued.
  • A deep understanding of electricity markets and contract structures is required.
  • This role demands commercially strategic individuals with strong financial and risk analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills are necessary, along with high initiative and ownership.
  • A degree in Finance, Commerce, Engineering, Law, or similar; an MBA is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Sydney market is beneficial.
