Unity Software Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Unity Software Engineer to join our team building next-generation slot games. This role bridges art and engineering, bringing visual designs to life while optimizing performance and ensuring seamless integration of art assets in a real-time gaming environment.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented individual to contribute their expertise in Unity development and C# to the creation of innovative gaming content.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement software systems, game engine assets, shaders, and real-time visual effects.
  • Collaborate with engineers and artists to meet look-and-feel and performance requirements.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues related to the art pipeline.
  • Provide artists with technical feedback to ensure optimized assets.
  • Document and evangelise best practices.
  • Create or suggest tools and scripts to optimise Unity workflow.
  • Profile and debug game performance to identify optimisation opportunities.
  • Optimise software and art assets.
  • Stay up to date with industry advancements in game engines and digital content creation tools.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in software engineering (C#).
  • Experience with Unity.
  • Tool development skills (C# and Python).
  • Knowledge of 2D and 3D graphics (Photoshop/After Effects and Blender, or equivalent).
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of shaders, profiling, and optimisation (art and code).
  • Ability to translate reference art from artists into real-time graphics.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work on multiple projects with minimal direction.
  • Understanding of UI/UX principles across platforms.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
