The Launceston General Hospital is enhancing equity of access to specialist rheumatology services in Northern Tasmania by establishing a new team as part of the Rheumatology and Persistent Pain Service.
The Role:- Lead healthcare teams in providing efficient and effective coordination and provision of nursing care for patients with musculoskeletal conditions, utilizing extensive experience in musculoskeletal conditions, chronic disease health care principles, contemporary nursing theory, and practice, along with clinical expertise.
- Provide clinical resource support to patients and carers, coordinating and evaluating intake, planning, assessment, evaluation, and discharge processes for Rheumatology clients referred from both the acute sector and community within an outpatient setting.
- Exhibit demonstrated extensive experience in musculoskeletal conditions, chronic disease health care principles, contemporary nursing theory, and practice, along with clinical expertise.
- Display highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, proven ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary environment, demonstrating capacity to provide clinical leadership and exercise professional judgment while working with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate ability to work independently.
