The Team: Podiatry North is based in the Northern Integrated Care Centre in Launceston and services areas in the North and North East of Tasmania.
We are a small team with a High Risk Foot Podiatrist, Musculoskeletal Podiatrist, Community Podiatrists, and Allied Health Assistants, working together with a wider multidisciplinary team to address the foot health needs of this area.
The Role: In collaboration with the team, assess the podiatry needs of the population, especially those of vulnerable groups with feet at risk of amputation, deformity, and pain.
Plan, implement, and evaluate community-based programs that address the podiatric needs of the population.
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver flexible primary health care programs, in response to identified local needs.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, quality assurance, and relevant research projects as required.
Ensure all clinical practice complies with work health and safety policies and procedures and ensure a safe working environment.
In conjunction with the Manager, Podiatry North, contribute to the formulation of objectives, policies, and priorities.
You will need: Act as a consultant in the area of podiatry.
Have at least 2 years of experience in podiatric practice.
Based on assessed need, develop unique programs to address highlighted foot health and well-being issues.

Details of appointment: Permanent, part-time, day worker position, working 30.4 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join our team.
Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $110,425 to $121,907 per annum (Pro rata).
Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with the Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
Salary Packaging: You'll have access to salary packaging a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Allowances: Access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.
Additional allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum.
Benefits available to eligible candidates: Travel and relocation assistance support up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for interstate applicants.

Eligibility: Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria: Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Podiatry Board of Australia.
Registered with the Podiatry Board of Australia.
Desirable criteria include: Current Driver's Licence.
