About the Role

As a Conductor, you will play a crucial part in delivering top-notch customer service and maintaining high standards on our regional trains across Victoria. You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring trains are clean and ready for service
  • Providing assistance and information to customers face-to-face and via a PA system
  • Handling ticket sales and checking tickets during train services
  • Overseeing train departures and assisting with luggage at stations
  • Managing coaches during planned and unplanned disruptions and events
  • Reporting any equipment or facility issues

You will possess a mature approach, proven success in safety and time-critical environments, and an unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Completion of Year 10 or equivalent
  • A valid Victorian Driver's License
  • 24/7 availability for shift work
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work within rules and compliance frameworks
  • Friendly customer service skills
  • Strong safety awareness
