Operative Position

We are seeking a skilled operative to join our team. This is a key role within our business, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day productivity of the yard and ensuring operational tasks are performed successfully.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with deliveries and unloading/loading vehicles at the branch.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Preparing site and equipment.
  • Shutting down jobs and cleaning up.

Key responsibilities also include:

  • Ensuring adherence to WHS policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining relevant knowledge of WHS issues.
  • Acting as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours.

Requirements for this position include:

  • Previous experience in a similar yard environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with stakeholders.
  • Experience with receiving, processing, and shipping orders.
  • Manual handling experience.
  • A current Forklift license.
